Secondary School Scholarships. These days everyone gets to obtain a scholarship, you don’t need to be in the tertiary institution to merit a scholarship. 1. OANDO SCHOLARSHIPS: Oando Marketing Limited has been devoted to providing scholarships for students in the Bundu and Onne communities collectively. The offer which usually extends to a duration of five years is to help parents who can’t afford the educational needs of their children.

2. PEACE CORPS NIGERIA GIRLS SCHOLARSHIP FUND: The Peace Corps Nigeria Alumni Foundation (PCNAF) established its first scholarship program for Nigerian girls in 2003. The scholarship recipients were selected from each of the six regions of Nigeria, giving the program a well-rounded national scope. The program targeted girls enrolled in the final level of junior secondary school (grade 9), and supported the scholarship winners for the full three years needed to complete their secondary school education. Building upon the success of the inaugural program, PCNAF launched two new scholarship programs for female Nigerian students: the PCNAF’s Nigerian Girls Scholarship Program for secondary school girls in northern Nigeria, and the Young Women’s Scholarship Program for college students in the United States.

5. SHELL NIGERIA SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME: The Shell Nigeria Secondary School Scholarship Scheme is for host communities in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Imo and Rivers states. Every year, an average of 2,600 post-primary scholarships is awarded in the seven states. The Secondary School Scholarship Scheme is to help students pay through school, as well as enhance academic achievement in host communities.

6. GLOBACOM GBAM SCHOLARSHIPS:  The G-BAM Scholarships, a major aspect of Globacom’s youth program – the G-BAM Hi5ive program, empowers both the Secondary and Tertiary (University, College of Education, Polytechnic) student community in Nigeria by offering a scholarship of $5 million for 1,000 students.

7. CHEVRON AGBAMI NIGERIA SCHOLARSHIP FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS: Chevron grants scholarships to secondary school and college students. Along with their partners in the Agbami Field, Chevron launched the Agbami Medical and Engineering Professionals Scholarship. In 2010, the partners donated science laboratories to eight secondary schools. And by 2011, the program had been extended to 10 more states, giving aid to approximately 3,300 students. With partners, Chevron also donated 11,000 geology books to 10 Nigerian universities.

    Applicants must enroll in masters and doctoral programs.
    Applicants must be a United States citizen or a permanent resident to be eligible for CCF or GHF.
    Giolas-Harriott Fellowship will accept only incoming doctoral nominees.
    Crandall-Cordero Fellowship will accept both masters and doctoral nominees.
